MedicalGPS’ Releases CLA-GPSMapping™, The Benchmarking Solution for Healthcare Organizations

Washington, DC, May 7, 2006— MedicalGPS, LLC (MGPS) officially released version 1.0 of CLA-GPSMapping ™ to the Cardiology Leadership Alliance (CLA) at the CLA’s national conference held in Washington, D.C. May 6 through May 9, 2006.

During the CLA conference, MGPS co-founders Marty Hudson and Jerry Stone presented the interactive financial benchmarking solution developed especially for CLA clinic membership to the group of executive and physician leadership. Following the demonstration, each of the CLA conference attendees had an opportunity to experience the benchmarking solution during a hands-on orientation session utilizing the web-enabled system.

“By utilizing CLA-GPSMapping, CLA member clinic executives and physician leaders are equipped with the latest in state-of-the art technology and benchmarking solutions. During the D.C. conference the CLA moved into the next phase of data collection and distribution -- Clinical Benchmarking. MGPS presented preliminary findings related to clinical data related to coronary artery disease (CAD) collected by CLA clinic members.

Currently, the CLA is a 26 member alliance of non-competing cardiology group practices located all across the U.S., representing more than 750 physicians, and 100+ physician assistants and nurse practitioners. The CLA selected MedicalGPS, LLC in February to provide financial and clinical benchmarking services and solutions to the CLA membership.
